Agency evaluation and review

Government Department (Asia)

We prepared an evaluation review of the Agency tasked with implementing the Government's investment promotion program.

The review considered the Agency’s operations against good practice.  It also examined the extent to which it has provided the outputs and outcomes it was set up to deliver and if it is using resource inputs cost-effectively.

Our findings provided evidence to support the Agency’s request for additional Government funding of its operations.

Government Department (Asia)

We completed in-depth face-to-face interview discussions with a cross-section of more than 70 stakeholders to obtain views on the Government’s investment promotion program.

The interviews gathered information on issues relating to the delivery and success of the program, including: the priority given to promoting the location as an international investment location; the main strengths and weaknesses of the program, levels of awareness of organisations involved with the program and the program’s effectiveness.

The findings from the interviews demonstrated the Agency was performing exceptionally well from an investor perspective.  They also indicated that the Agency needed to do more to demonstrate its success to other Government Departments.

Location benchmarking

Investment development agency (Mediterranean)

We completed a location benchmarking assessment of a Mediterranean island economy.

Our assessment incorporated information on 15 competitor and peer locations across 67 location benchmarks.

The benchmark information was used as input to the development and implementation of the Agency's new investment promotion marketing strategy.

The benchmark information was also incorporated into the Agency’s website.
