Governance and organisation structure

State investment promotion agency (Nigeria)

We provided support to a State Investment Promotion Unit (IPU), as part of a wider growth and employment in program.

We assessed the skills requirements and developed and delivered a series of half-day and three day-day investment promotion training programmes for IPU staff.

We prepared a comprehensive investment promotion strategy and associated organisation development plan (including strategic priorities and performance targets; products and services delivery; organisation structure and governance; performance monitoring and evaluation; and resources and infrastructure requirements.

We also identified marketing requirements and supported the development of new marketing materials, including the design and content for an investment promotion website.

Agency establishment and operations

Investment promotion agency (West Africa)

We provided recommendations on an appropriate organisation structure for the governance, management and operation of the Agency.

We also advised on, and set out the governance arrangements for, the operation of a revised investment promotion programme.  This included the establishment of an independent Board, comprising other stakeholders from the private sector, government, academia, unions.

Agency governance and organisation

National investment promotion agency (Europe)

We examined and identified lessons and insights on how other investment promotion agencies have adapted their working process to adapt to needs of the changing investment landscape.

We completed analysis (international investment trends and international good practice) to inform the delivery of strategy for the Agency's investment promotion function.

We provided recommendations to the Agency to optimise its current working processes and methodologies, specifically in relation to investment promotion.

Agency establishment and operations

National investment promotion agency (Asia)

We developed plans to guide the Agency's establishment and subsequent operations.

These plans detailed: policy and strategic priorities and performance targets; products and services delivery, including aftercare provision; marketing and communications (image-building, media relations, prospect targeting, and promotion support guidelines for staff); organisation structure and governance, including the location of overseas offices; performance monitoring and evaluation for the agency and its staff; and resources and infrastructure requirements.

Agency governance and organisation

Government Department (Asia)

We provided recommendations on changes to the insitutional arrangements, organisation structure and staffing of its investment promotion agency.

The objective was to ensure the continuing success of the location’s investment promotion program.

Our recommended changes improved the governance of the program.  They also allowed the agency to enhance its presence in target source markets and to strengthen its research capability and the operation of its aftercare and advocacy functions.
