Science and industry park operator (Asia)

We prepared options for the high level strategic positioning for a proposed cross-border Innovation and Technology Park.

We examined the development policy position for the Park development, I&T investment location requirements, the location's comparative location “offer”, and good practice lessons from international I&T developments.

Our analysis identified the indicative types of I&T sectors and activities and associated cluster development for the Park and prepared guidelines for the Park’s planning and property development.

Agency strategy development

Investment promotion agency (Mediterranean)

We acted as expert adviser on the development of a national investment promotion strategy for a Mediterranean island economy.

We advised on a range of issues including: the mandate and governance arrangements, organisation structure, sector and source market targets, functions and activities, website content, resource requirements and performance measures. 

The investment promotion agency has implemented the strategy.

Investment promotion agency (Middle East)

Provided advice and guidance for the development of a three-year investment promotion strategy and implementation plan the Agency, as part of a wider country competitiveness program.

We assessed the competitiveness of the location relative to peer and competitor locations.

We also examined and provided recommendations for the Agency's investment promotion policy, strategy, budget and resources, governance and management structure, stakeholder engagement, targets (markets and sectors), positioning statements, service offering, promotional priorities, and use of communications tools and promotion materials.

The agreed strategy was presented to key stakeholders from the public and private sectors.

Location development strategy

Private sector property developer (Middle East)

We provided strategy advice to support the future development of a major waterfront development in a Middle East city.

Our advice considered the city's development priorities, location position, attractiveness characteristics, and economic and foreign investment trends.

We also examined the policy, strategy and development practices from other peer and competitor cities.

Location development strategy

Science and industry park operator (Asia)

We advised on and considered options for and delivered a comprehensive strategy to revitalise and reposition the organisation's industrial land and property.

The strategy, presented to the Board, ensured that the organisation's mission remains relevant, its policies, operations and products remain competitive, and its business model (viability) is sustainable.

We also prepared a detailed strategy, implementation plan, which included a draft Master Concept Plans for each industrial park site.
