We provide clients with advisory services that cover:

Investment promotion program

Investment promotion agency (Caribbean)

We provided strategic advice and guidance for the development of a well-defined investment promotion policy and strategy and implementation plan for the Agency.

We assessed the good practice internationally regarding investment promotion policy and the provision of foreign incentives.

We prepared two guidance and recommendations papers: as input to the overall investment promotion strategy:

  • an appropriate investment policy framework
  • an approach to providing investment incentives.

Location development policy

Science and industry park developer (Asia)

We assessed the performance of a government program to support industry development through the development and provision of land and property for industrial use.

We developed measures examining performance relating to: the provision and delivery of the program; companies’ utilisation of land and property; the impact of the program in supporting industry; and the program’s financial contribution.

We identified the overall success of the industry development programme and provided recommendations to enhance the delivery and effectiveness of the program.

Investment promotion program

International development organisations (West Africa)

We organised and managed a project to adapt and apply Organisation for Economic Development (OECD) Policy Framework for Investment (PFI) in three States.  This was part of a wider program to support growth &and employment in States through improved business regulation.

We directed the  research, collation and analyses of information for the Investment Policy Review in each State, working in conjunction with local consultants and State PFI Taskforces.

We prepared a draft PFI (with findings and recommendations) for each State, based on the information collected.

We also developed a subnational PFI toolkit for roll-out and use in other States.

Investment legislation

Trade and investment promotion organisation (Southern Africa)

We provided advice on and developed appropriate legislation, regulations and assessment procedures governing incentives support for private sector investments.  This extended the Government’s incentive support to encourage investment by introducing investment allowances for “strategic industrial projects”. 

The proposed incentive support provides a “targeted instrument to encourage projects that have significant direct and indirect benefits to the economy”.

Investment promotion program

International development organisations (West Africa)

We acted as lead adviser on the investment promotion and facilitation component of the international development organisations' growth and employment program.

We devised support mechanisms to enhance investment promotion and facilitation at national level and for four states.  These were designed to improve the availability of useful and useable information to private sector business, thereby lowering the cost and risk of investment.
